Hi, my son is 3 years old and he's obsessed with the washing mashine he keeps talking about it and all he wants to do is to play with it.. i'm concerned do we need to see a psycologist ?
It is perfectly normal for kids at his age to fixate on certain objects and lose interest in all else. Your son may be fascinated by the whirling and spinning of the washing machine, the sound it makes, the vibration etc. as opposed to the other more static objects that may seem dull to him in comparison to the washing machine.
As long as your son is developing well (physically and mentally) and meeting his developmental milestones, you have no reasons to worry. Psychological intervention is not warranted.
