If you have only 38 degrees and flu like symptoms no need to do more than symptomatic treatment (panadol or anti-inflammatory, vitamin C. ..). No need for antibiotics in viral infection. But if you have cough sometimes you it might be pneumonia with low grade fever so you need antibiotics. If you have high grade fever also you might sometimes need antibiotics. Your physician will prescribe you when needed but to answer shortly a flu doesn't need antibiotics.
