Hi Doc, does an elleptical treadmill have a closed circuit just as when riding a bike? My doctor forbade me to ride a bike because of a bad knee, but is stepping on the elleptical the same as biking?
dear Sir , how old are you ? and please define what do you mean by "Bad Knee" ? osteoarthritis ? problems with the patella ? instability ? ... but usually but usually , both biking and the elliptical stepping machine are considered low traumatic exercises for the knee joint , and depending on the seriousness and cause of your " bad knee " u may be directed to other or keep the same exercise pattern !
