Hey i had an unprotected sex before 1 week and before 2 days i realized a yellow liquide coming out of my penis i did a research and im taking doxycycline 100mg is that a gd idea ?
If indeed your symptoms are due to a sexually transmitted infection with either chlamydia trachomatis or neisseria gonorrhea, then yes doxycycline is a good treatment choice. You should haveconsulted a pphysician to do a urine culture and culture of the discharge prior to initiating treatment to identify the causative bacteria. In any case, have your sexual partner undergo these tests and start treatment as soon as possible to avoid complications and possible transmission to other people.
This condition is called urethritis (= inflammation of the urethra) and is usually caused by 2 bacterias: Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.
The treatment you have taken covers only Chlamydia. So you are urged to take a single dose of Ceftriaxone.
Furthermore, the Doxycicline must be continued twice daily for 7 days.
The most important step is to give your partner the same treatment (or a similar easier protocol) because she certainly has one of those bacterias.
Also, I recommend that you do the STD tests panel (HIV, Hep B & C and Syphilis) now and in 3 months.
