You might have some kind of irritation of your left diaphragm (the muscle separating the thorax and the abdomen; breathing is its main function) or your left phrenic nerve (the nerve responsible of the diaphragm).
I recommend you have a "Chest X-ray" and an abdominal ultrasound.
Please discuss the issue with your physician.

i agree with Dr Ziad Mansour...
in addition more questions needs to be answered... your age? your sex? your smoking history? whether there is a cough or sputum production? is the burning related to shoulder motion or activity....
so i do recommend to see your physician for further testing and a proper exam.
