Dr. Paul Yazbek Otolaryngology (ENT)
Hello,
Endoscopic sinus surgery is done routinely now, been doing it over the last 16 years with very good results. Most patients if not all are satisfied, there are only some limitations in patients with polyposis. Cost depends if there is associated breathing problems or a Rhinoplasty to be done with it, but sinus surgery is usually covered by insurance.

Paul.

FESS(functional endoscopic sinus surgery ) is the only metode used nowadays to treat any paranasal sinus disease other than tumors .Usually takes around one hour depending on the region needed to be treated .Other than for treating sinusits or polyps(usually combined with treating the nasal septum in order to reach the sinus area, and the nasal turbinates in order to improove breathing ) , we have also good resuls in treating migrane headaches with nasal trigger (origin) .Post operative usually we DO NOT BLOCK the nose with nasal packing and we only give paracetamol for pain . As for the price of the operation it ranges between 2500$ and 5000$ depending on the room class and without Rhinoplasty(additional 1200$ to 3500$).
