Dr. Dabaj, Dr. Moussa i did my operation and since then i feel like somebody pinched me under my arm and my hands hurt so bad that sometime i just cannot move them and the left arm is swelling, help.
AS i said before ,It takes 6 - 18 months for a nerve to heal during that time you may experience numbness, tingling, fleeting pain, or creepy/crawly sensations.BUT IF you feel loss of sensation, increased burning sensation, weakness or paralysis SWELLING, redness or opening of the incision or if there is any clear fluid draining from it, contact your surgeon immediately! since you have swelling in your left arm you must call and consult your surgeon for follow up and possible risks.
As Dr Moussa mentionned, it takes at least 6months for the healing process. sincr you have the swelling i highly suggest that you see your surgeon...it could be simply some edema due to positionning but i prefer that you get examined...thank you
