Usually it resolves alone but after a car accident and a trauma to the abdomen we should be careful if there is any abdominal pain or distention because that might be rebleeding...it depends when did you do the car accident and your clinical status. If clinically you are doing fine no need to do an imaging again but if there is any abdominal symptoms or signs of bleeding it is better to be examined. If your accident is recent I would go for a general check up to be examined and have my blood pressure and heart rate and abdomen checked up for reassurance.
