Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
The count of eosinophils are more important than the percentage you mentioned, however high eosinophils or Eosinophilia is a condition in which the eosinophil count in the peripheral blood exceeds 450/μl The eosinophil count usually helps confirm, rather than make, a diagnosis.
Several causes are known, with the most common being some form of allergic reaction or parasitosis other causes Hodgkin's lymphoma,
Some forms of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma,Systemic autoimmune diseases
Some forms of vasculitis(e.g. Churg-Strauss syndrome),Cholesterol embolism,]Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), a fungal disease,Interstitial nephropathy,Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is a non-specific test for inflammation. It is easy to perform, It is also used a monitoring tool for response to treatment in conditions in which it is raised.it depends on age and gender,it's normal value is calculated by age/2 for men and(age +10)/2 for women if your ESR is above the normal then there an inflammation in your body somewhere ,it is not reliable alone but the value is not so much high in your case
CONCLUSION:
Depending on your other symptoms and the clinical exam beside the results of the tests performed the doctor can predict the cause.
