During the growth spurt, which is characterized primarily by a peak change in stature or vertical velocity of growth, significant changes in body size and rapid development occur. On average, this happens at age 14 for males.
Skeletal growth and development is a factor in deciding final adult height, being itself affected by factors such as parental height (a number obtained by adding both parents' height s and dividing by 2, then adding 13 for boys- we get an estimation of the final adult height)
The bones of the body grow from areas within the long bones called growth plates. These plates remain open during childhood and adolescence. In general, they close earlier for females than for males (although adolescents do not reach complete skeletal maturity until ages 18 to 20). For example, the growth plates in the elbow area close at approximately ages 12 to 14 in girls, but not until ages 15 to 16 in boys.
Natural ways to enhance gaining height include undoubtedly a healthy balanced diet rich in proteins which are the building blocks of the body, good calcium intake, exercise (not too strenuous so as not to compromise bone growth or produce fractures, which might hinder progress and continuation of sports).
But please do remember that genetic factors play a major role in determining final adult height.

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
