An individual who had done many blood tests with a result of O+ suddenly shows up as O- in 3 different tests in 2 different labs. Is that natural or due to an inaccuracy at the labs?
there is some data about some genetic mutations to go from positive to negatif, but this is an extremely rare situation. sometimes if the blood group is mistyped, we go to molecular genetics analysis to decide (DNA tests)
the history of the patient is important, did he receive blood transfusions before, is it a female patient who delivered babies etc .the final solution is to do it, in a specialised laboratory .
