6 weeks pregnant, I've been spotting for about 2 weeks & I did an ultrasound. There was a sac but no heartbeat, the doctor told me that the blood isn't inside the sac & hcg levels are higher than 4000
The blood is outside the sac, we call it sub-chorionic hematoma. Yes, it gives spotting
for the heartbeat, you should repeat the ultrasound in one week before making any conclusion. It can be totally normal.
