Mebendazole (Vermox) is usually effective against most of the worms that infect the gastrointestinal tract. The dosage depends on the exact type of worms you have: stool analysis (may need to repeat it many times before catching the worm) and the Scotch tape test (taped to the anal area so that the worms would stick onto it, repeated 3 times) are used to make the diagnosis and recognize the worms causing the infection.
