What is Alzheimer's disease
May 1, 2013

Dr. Judy Matta Pediatrics
it is a brain disorder that affect older people, usually after age of 60. It is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions and seriously affects a person's ability to carry out daily activities. People with Alzheimer's disease may have trouble remembering things that happened recently or names of people they know.Over time, symptoms get worse and the person may not recognize his own family members and may have trouble speaking, reading or writing. No treatment can stop the disease, however, some drugs may help keep symptoms from getting worse for a limited time.
