What are the causes and how to treat man breast?
Mar 15, 2013

Dr. Johnny Rechdan Obstetrics & Gynecology
Enlarging man breasts (gynecomastia) can be normal and may regress after the age of 18 years. If this condition persists then you can seek medical advise.
The vast majority of cases are unexplained but rarely it can be hormonal or it can be related to other medical conditions. The treatment can be medical or surgical depending on the condition.

Dr. Michel Moutran Plastic Surgery
Gynecomastia is idiopathic in 95 % of the cases (unexplained). In rare cases, it can have a hormonal origin. Thorough clinical examination and sometimes specific blood tests will help in ruling out any medical condition responsible for the gynecomastia.
Surgical treatment can go from specific liposuction to minimal incision removal of the gynecomastia.
