I have a toe nail infection. My nail fell off partially so I used laminox on it and treated it with vinegar 3 times a day. When should I stop the treatment?

Dr. Salim Saab Otolaryngology (ENT)
We don't know if the infection is bacterial or fungi. If it is bacterial, topic antibiotic should be applied and if it is fungi, you should take antifungic tablets for 6 months.

If the reason of infection is ingrowing nail, the perfect treatment is surgical . Otherwise fungal infection should be treatment in combined surgical followed by long time (6-9 months) antifungal therapy.
