My sister 7yrs diagnosed with allergy to dust. Taking "Zyrtec" and allergy persists. TSH, T3, T4 tests normal. Thyroiditis? Must do echo for thyroid?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
It's a far shot trying to control symptoms of allergy against dust, and with mere antihistamines, simply because allergy is literally everywhere and an antihistamine cannot deter the omnipresence of dust. You need to consult an allergologist who will give you and in extensive details the measures that need to be taken to minimize dust at home, and to maybe start immunotherapy if deemed necessary.
But may I inquire regarding the thyroid hormone tests: why were they done in the first place? any symptoms (like unexplained weight gain or loss, constipation, protruding eyes etc) that prompted the doctor to order these tests? And the results are normal so this should exclude the diagnosis of thyroiditis.
