My 2 boys(4yrs&2yrs 9mo old)have recurrent tonsillitis(~4-5times/year only in winter)treated by antibiotics.Pediatrician says still normal.For how long will they still get it?When decide tonsillectomy

Indications to undergo tonsillectomy in children are 6 episodes in one year, five episodes in 2 consecutives years or 3 episodes in three consecutive years but u need to document bacterial infections by throat cultures it is better so whenever u have tonsillitis i advise you to do throat culture and rapid strep test
