Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
Cryosurgery is a surgical technique for the treatment of benign aggressive, low-grade malignant and metastatic tumors of long bones. It has been used rarely to treat sacral tumors, mainly because of potential damage to nerves, blood vessels, and intrapelvic organs.
So the effectiveness of cryotherapy depends on the grade of the sarcoma and the one who decide which is best is the doctor who is resposible for his case and who has the images ,tests and the medical history ,beside the overall examination of your son .
the grade of the sarcoma ,the location ,the duration ,...all may give clues of which treatment is best taken ,it is the doctor's decision
The usual effective plan therapy for ewing sarcoma is depending on the location of the tumor, radiation or surgery is used to remove the tumor at its original location, in addition to chemotherapy.
