My 14 months baby moves a lot when he sleeps he turns around many times sleeps on his belly then his back. Is there anything we can do to make him sleep in a calm normal way?

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
The description you mentioned of your baby movements during sleep is quite normal ,nothing to worry about that is his own sleep,he might smile ,change many times his positions ,all are normal ,if he is active baby after waking up and if he is sleeping enough sleeping hours then nothing to worry about od make you concerned ,only put him in a safe bed with boundaries to protect him from falling and harming himself or in a cot where if he scroll he will not hit his body .
you can use also "sleep positioners " that let the baby feel that this is only the size of motion he has and won't move that much ,but i prefer letting his sleep free as he want with safety precautions in the bed .
if your baby is not crying ,not getting pain, having continuous sleep then everything is ok .
