Is there something I can do every day in order to keep my body and internal organs healthy?
Dec 15, 2014

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Avoidance and prevention are the key terms you should always think of if your aim is to maintain your body healthy: stress (as difficult as this may be as stress is unavoidable, but you need to develop ways to better cope with stress), tobacco smoking (including second hand smoking), excess alcohol consumption, pollution (including noise pollution), unhealthy foods (foods high in carbs, trans fatty acids and salt), sedentary lifestyle (you need to workout at least 5 days a week, for 30 CONTINUOUS minutes), dehydration (you should drink a minimum of 2 liters of plain water every day), computer screens (try not to stare at the computer or smart phone screen for more than 2 hours without giving your eyes a 15 minutes break), and last but not least, speeding (use your seat belt, and drive safe).
