Is protien intake related to strong nails?
Apr 25, 2013

Dr. Judy Matta Pediatrics
Your nails are made up of a protein called keratin, which is also abundant in your skin and hair. A diet that is too low in protein may cause nails to become thin and brittle and slow down the rate of nail growth. Good sources of dietary protein include organic eggs, salmon, and organic lean chicken and turkey.
