Is napping in the afternoon good or bad for a young healthy person and how long should it be? I usually prefer working at night from 7 to 2pm as i find it helpful to concentrate.

it is ok to nap in the afternoon but just for 30min max. more than that it will disrupt your sleep at night and will mess your sleep cycle.
a healthy sleep hygiene is to sleep early before midnight and sleep for 6-10 depending on the age group. young adults need 8-10 hours of sleep and elder people need 6-8 hours of sleep. you should find how many hours you need to sleep. staying awake at night will results in lots of hormonal imbalances.
