Is drinking more than 2L/day of water has any bad effects??

The adequate intake (AI) of water for men is about 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day; for women, it's 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.
This changes with physical activity (an extra 400-600 ml for short-period exercise, more if more intense and lengthy exercise), climate (you need more water in hot &/or humid weather and on high altitudes).
