Im a 49 year old woman, yesterday my neck swell a lot with irritation and redness, on top of that I felt like there was something stuck in my throat and ddnt feel better even when I drank water. Help.
if your symptoms are persisting or got worse you should seek immediate medical help because you might suffering from a severe form of allergic reaction called angioedema. which might be due to ingestion of food , medication, or others.. but if symptoms resolves just be careful to any new products that you are using such as new type of cream or soap/detergent or an allergy to jewelry you might be wearing.
mild form of allergic reaction can be treated with antihistamine but sever forms needs steroids, and very severe form if associated with dizziness (due to low blood pressure) or dyspnea (anaphylactic reaction) need intramuscular injection of epinephrine.
so you need to be seen by a physician as soon as possible.
