If he has a fever that varries between 37.5 to 38..should i avoid goin to malls and public places..my baby is 2 months old..

Fever in a 2 months old baby is more serious than if he's above 3 months of age. Even of he's active, looks well and is feeling well, he must be seen by his pediatrician, because babies at this particular age (below 3 months) are very fragile and vulnerable since their immune system is immature and they still haven't received enough vaccination to confer solid protection. Any infection can easily spread throughout their bodies and may even go into the meninges (the layers that protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord) and probably infect them (meningitis). Please take an appointment with the pediatrician you usually see to have your baby examined (ears, lungs, urine) to make sure there's no active infectious process somewhere.
