I suffer from severe shoulder pain and a numb hand. The doctor said that the nerve is infected so we did an injection, but I didn't feel any better. What do you think?

Dr. Ivana Dabaj Pediatric Neurology
did you do any imaging? like MRI of the cervical spine? is the pain constant or it comes and goes? is it like electricity passing in your limb upon motion? what makes it better and what makes it worst?
you might be having disk herniation which can be decreased after infiltrations(injection) and this has a tole in decreasing the inflammation however you need other medications for the pain to relief the nerve inflammation. it is better to know the cause to get the best treatment. A lot of drugs exist for neuropathic pain: non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs, steroids, Gabapetin, pregabapentin,Carbamazepine, ... etc you need to check with your Dr the appropriate combination of drugs.
