You may have an infection in the outer ear canal, which runs from your eardrum to the outside of your head. It's often brought on by water that remains in your ear after showering , creating a moist environment that aids bacterial growth.
Putting fingers, cotton swabs or other objects in your ears also can lead to swimmer's ear by damaging the thin layer of skin lining your ear canal.
this can lead to acute external otitis or otitis externa. The most common cause of this infection is bacteria invading the skin inside your ear canal. Usually you can treat with eardrops. Prompt treatment can help prevent complications and more-serious infections and to stop the infection and allow your ear canal to heal.
you can check with the doctor ,he will clean your ear with a suction device or ear curette to clean away any discharge, clumps of earwax, flaky skin and other debris.and he will prescribe a combination ear drop .
you can take to ease pain tylenol or NSAIDS ibuprefen ,..
Avoid getting water in your ear canal when bathing. Use a cotton ball coated with petroleum jelly to protect your ear during a bath.
Attempting to clean the canal with cotton swabs also interrupts the normal, self-cleaning mechanism and can push debris toward the eardrum, where it accumulates. Also, these actions may cause minor damage to the delicate skin of the canal that predisposes to external otitis.

The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
