Sitting in front of the computer for long time is associated with inactivity, increase in weight and muscle spasm and fatigue. This all will lead to easy fatigability and tiredness for any effort. First it is very important to know the correct posture while working in front of a computer. Also frequent breaks for stretching exercises while working and regular working out will decrease tension. Physiotherapy may also be useful to relax and strengthen neck and back muscles. There is also a role for pain medications and muscle relaxants but this will be at a later stage if the above mentioned recommendations fail and this will need a consultation with a specialist.
