Vaginal discharge is a term given to biological fluids contained within or expelled from the vagina. It can be of various colors, usually whitish, yellowish or greenish.

Since you have a foul smelling vaginal discharge and itching this indicates a vaginal infection that should be investigated and treated.
While most discharge is normal and can reflect the various stages of the menstrual cycle, some discharge can be a result of an infection, such as a sexually transmitted disease.
If the color, smell, or consistency seems significantly unusual, especially if it is accompanied by vaginal itching or burning, you could be suffering from an infection or another condition.

In general:
-cloudy or yellow discharge +bleeding between menses+urinary incontinense. Could be sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea.
-Frothy, yellow or greenish with a bad smell+Pain and itching while urinating. Might be trichomoniasis.
-White, gray, or yellow with fishy odor+Itching or burning, redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva. Could be bacterial vaginosis.

The best way to tell what the cause is is to check with your doctor to give the necessary treatment due to the specific cause.
>yeast infections are usually treated with antifungal medications .
>Bacterial vaginosis is treated with antibiotic pills or creams.
>Trichomoniasis is usually treated with the drug metronidazole (Flagyl) or tinidazole (Tindamax).

Here are some tips for preventing vaginal infections that can lead to abnormal discharge:
>Keep the vagina clean by washing regularly with a gentle warm water.
>Never use scented soaps and feminine products or douche. Also avoid feminine sprays and bubble baths.you can use only feminine wash from a pharmacy where ph is studied acoordingly .
>After going to the bathroom, always wipe from front to back to prevent bacteria from getting into the vagina and causing an infection.
>Wear 100% cotton underpants, and avoid overly tight clothing.
>stay haydrated and drink plenty of water

So better to check with a gynecologist to take the necessary treatment depending on the cause

Remember to follow the precautions for a safe sex to protect against sexually transmitted infections ,such as the use of condoms by the male partner
