I have something in my nose as if the bone is getting bigger and now it blocks my breathing channel. any idea what It could be? it is red and it bleeds sometimes. I waited for 2 weeks and still there
If this new growth has been there for two weeks and is of constant size (i.e., it does not shrink in size then grows larger again), in addition to oozing blood, you are urged to have it examined by an ear-nose-throat specialist as soon as possible. It could be a pre-existing nasal polyp that has enlarged, or, if its size changes during the day and with body position (it shrinks when you stand up and enlarges when you lie on your back), it is most likely a hypertrophied (enlarged) turbinate (the side bones of the nose). Other more serious causes also need to be ruled out. Again please visit an ENT specialist without delay.
