This is facial dandruff, not an uncommon condition. It usually affects the T-zone of the face, especially areas with hair (eyebrows, forehead, nasal bridge &creases, &around the mouth), &it's part of "seborrheic dermatitis", believed to result from overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called malassezia, normally present on your skin. Facial dandruff is worsened by oily skin, stress or fatigue, extreme temperatures (usually cold weather), &inadequate washing of face. You need to be using medicated shampoo containing active ingredients like, zinc (Ducray Kelual ZInc shampoo), selenium sulfide (Selsun Blue), ketoconazole or salicylic acid; these are the same ingredients used in dandruff shampoos. If however you have dandruff on other areas in your body, you should consult a dermatologist because you'll most likely be needing oral treatment (terbinafine-based).

The other modality of treatment is topical steroid , as seborrheic dermatitis is inflammatory in the first place...

Dandruff (Seborrheic dermatitis) can involve face and scalp and can be treated with topical antifungals or steroid creams to decrease causative organism and inflammation. This treatment is long term, and intermittent as needed. A topical of eurax lotion may offer long term relief in selected cases by reducing demodex, a small parasite which lives in hair follicles.
