Patients with hypercholesterolemia like you will be at increased risk for developing vascular and heart disease at a younger age. The risk is higher the longer the levels remain high. It is not like turning a light switch ( i.e. : if you don't take the medicine you are unlikely to have a heart attack tomorrow...) . Rather, it is a cumulative risk ( the longer the levels remain high the higher the risk). No one can tell you exactly how long you can stay off the medicine or if you should continue BF . If you are intent on BF, then restart the crestor after you are done.
