I have a lot of family members (from both sides of my family)tht have diabetes. Im suffering from dry mouth, it was by night at first now its even a few minutes after i drink! Do i have diabetes?!
One of the signs of diabetes is dry mouth and polydypsia or excessive drinking of fluids, but this is not a definitive determinant of having diabetes. Other signs and symptoms include polyuria (urinating frequently), unexplained weight loss, diaphoresis (generalized sweating), fatigue, sometimes even polyphagia (eating a lot) and dizziness. If you are concerned about having any of the mentioned symptoms and signs, and in the context of a string family history of diabetes (especially if the onset is at a young age), you are advised to do a fasting blood sugar level, just to be on the dafe side.
