I had a blood test for Free-T4 and us-TSH. Free-T4 indicate 1.809 and us-TSH indicate 1.627. What does that mean?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Your TSH level is within normal range, your free T4 however level is high normal (the normal range is 0.8 - 1.8 ng/L) which could indicate a slightly overactive thyroid gland or, if you are on thyroid hormone replacement therapy (Euthyrox or Eltroxin) that you may need dose adjustment (not necessarily especially if you have no symptoms). Symptoms of an overactive thyroid include irritability, weight loss despite an increased appetite/food intake, change in bowel habits (usually diarrhea), sweating, increased pulse etc.
Kindly consult with your treating physician for proper management.
