I felt some pain under the knee in front while doing squats, the pain is mild but its there when i do any physical activity.
I do on average 2 hours of fitness/day and im using voltaren, any advice?
This type of pain is known as patellofemoral pain. The pain usually originates from the tissue around the kneecap including the tendons, bones and cartilage surfaces. These tissues are subject to excessive wear and stress especially during sports. Running, jumping, hiking, and squatting can place up to six times an individual's body weight through these tissues. With repetitive high loading, there will be eventual tissue breakdown and subsequent pain. Women are more susceptible to these problems because their kneecaps are smaller and often "track" abnormally.
The pain is dull, aching, located under or around the front of the kneecap (patella) where it connects with the lower end of the thighbone (femur). It can occur when walking up or down stairs, kneeling, squatting, and sitting with a bent knee for a long period of time.
Preventive measures include: keeping a lean weight (heavy weight puts strain on your knees), stretching/warming-up for 5 min before exercising (lessens the tendon and ligament irritation), increase training intensity gradually (don't go from mild to strenuous exercise at once), and doing exercises that strengthen the quadriceps muscles (these are the four main muscles on the front of the thigh) which will minimize the pressure on the knee cap cartilage and shift it into the muscle. It also helps the kneecap in tracking properly and distributing the load evenly.
Treatment: local anti-inflammatory creams are of little benefit, you need an oral anti-inflammatory like Advil for 5-7 days.

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
