I am having a severe heartache. No blood pressure or fever. I can barely breathe and sleep.

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Chest pain in association with shortness of breath in a young and otherwise healthy female necessitates evaluation by a physician. Typically, we think of thyroid gland problems, namely hyperthyroidism or an over active thyroid gland, anemia (mainly due to iron deficiency), new-onset asthma especially if there is previous history of respiratory allergies and there is exposure to respiratory irritants (pollen, noxious smells such as paint or detergents etc.). Finally, we also need to rule out anxiety attacks, which can easily mimic heart-related symptoms. Less commonly, severe acid reflux from the stomach may produce the symptoms you are describing. Another possible entity would be pericarditis, which is the inflammation of the outer layers of the heart that usually follows a viral illness such as flu.
You need to visit your physician to receive a comprehensive evaluation and manage your symptoms accordingly.
