I am a married woman in her 40s. whenever i have intercourse, i see traces of dark blood the next day. is this normal for someone my age? could this be cancer?

Dr. Jean Esso Anesthesiology
A reason women bleed after intercourse is because they are not naturally lubricated enough. Bleeding after sex is usually just tissue damage and isn't uncommon. However, if you spot every time you have intercourse, you should see your gynecologist!

I agree with Dr Esso
Most of the time it is only spoting due to vaginal tissue trauma
But it is always better to discuss this with your gynecologist to make sure there is no other reason ( cervical polyp, inflammation of the cervix, endometrial polyp etc..)
