I am 5 month pregnant. How can I make my baby kick more?
May 1, 2014

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
By the stage you are in ,20 weeks pregnant, you may start to really feel your baby's first movements, called "quickening."early in your pregnancy, you may just feel a few flutters every now and then. But as your baby grows, usually by the end of the second trimester(28 weeks), the kicks should grow stronger and more frequent and will be well established.
Babies tend to move more at certain times of the day as they alternate between alertness and sleep. They are usually most active between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., right as you're trying to get to sleep. This surge in activity is due to your changing blood sugar levels.
So it is still early for you now at your stage you would feel few baby movements,
If you'd like some reassurance, here are some ways to encourage your baby to move usually done at the third trimester to track baby movements and wellness.:
-Put her feet up, have a snack, and relax. Babies are sometimes rocked to sleep while you are moving around, and he may wake up when you stop and have something to eat.
-Have a really cold drink. Your baby may feel the change in temperature and try to move away from it.
-Make some noise. Play loud music or slam a door to see if he responds
