I am 43 years old, and as i was doing the breast echo for the first time, the doctor found an ill defined nodule of less than one cm and advised me to do a tissue Tissue examination. Should I do it ?
Absolutely. Most lesions discovered on imaging are benign. Ill defined nodules are likely benign but may represent the early stages of malignancy. A tissue diagnosis is a must in order to ensure you are not leaving an early cancer in place. If gos forbid the result is positive, treatment in this early stage is simple and curative.
