The duration time to treat cytomegalovirus by gancyclovir is an induction treatment 5mg per kg bid for 14 to 21 days followed by maintenance therapy 5mg per kg once daily all is intra intervenous in the immunocompromised patient. In mononucleose, treatment lasts for 2 to 4 weeks.
