The ear lobe is a common site for Sebaceous cysts, among other benign masses. They can drain on their own sometimes, but they recollect almost always. Generally, they need surgical excision (Minor procedure under local anesthesia).
The posterior aspect of the ear is a known location for what we call sebaceous cysts and could be removed under local anesthesia.
