I got the e-cigarette ego as a gift. I want to use it to help me to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes. Does the e-cigarette work on burning nicotine liquid 11mg/ml?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
The e-cigarettes issue has raised quite the controversy and debates. Some physicians believe it helps smokers quit smoking, others are weary of the unknown effects of the contents other than nicotine (the addictive substance in tobacco) in the fumes these cigarettes release. So far, not enough studies have been done to test the safety of e-cigarettes. Add your that, e-cigarettes have not been long on the market so it's not possible to know their long-term effects on health and quitting smoking.
E-cigarettes operate on battery power; nicotine plus other chemicals are heated to produce fumes that are inhaled (a simulation of the real cigarette) without the toxic substances (like tarr) found in the conventional cigarettes.
Through my conversations with colleagues (specialized in the domain of lung disease), it became clear that they are very prudent about e-cigarettes and do not recommend them as not enough evidence exists to prove their effectiveness and safety.
