I noticed more than one person in the Beirut area that had similar symptoms as mine: weakness, diarrhea, lack of appetite, etc. Is it possible that a dangerous virus is propagating like Corona?
Hello,
The summer season usually witnesses outbreaks of illnesses characterized by fever, vomiting/diarrhea, headache, generalized body weakness/pains, and sometimes rashes. This is because a family of viruses, known as Enteroviruses, which are ubiquitous, become much more abundant during this time of the year. They usually cause non-specific febrile illnesses that can be associated with the symptoms described above, in addition to an entity known as aseptic meningitis, as opposed to bacterial meningitis caused by bacteria (meningitis stands for inflammation of the meninges, the layers that cover/protect the brain and spinal cord, and the cerebrospinal fluid, the fluid that circulates in cavities in the brain and through the spinal cord and serves to nourish and protect the brain and spinal cord). The clinical presentations of aseptic meningitis vary greatly. Symptoms include fever, chills, headache, photophobia (eyes irritated greatly by light), and neck stiffness (you cannot bend your neck forward because this causes increases the pressure in the already inflamed spinal cord and causes severe pain in the head and neck). Rash and upper respiratory tract symptoms may also occur. In infants, fever and irritability are the most common symptoms. Fever and meningeal signs subside within 2-7 days.

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
