Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
What you have is motion sickness, which is a result of miscoordination between the body organs/systems that detect motion, like the inner ear, the eyes, and others, whereby they send conflicting messages to the brain. So what happens is that one part of your body system responsible for maintaining balance may tell your brain that your body is moving, while the other parts do not sense motion. The resulting conflict between the senses produces motion sickness.
Different meds may help, though their effect is not 100%. You could use something like Gravol (reduces the nausea), sedating anti-histamines (Phenergan) which has a sedative effect thus minimizing the feeling of motion.
Bon voyage!
