Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Creatinine, which is generated from creatine, the energy molecule that muscles use, is a reflection of kidney function.
Your plasma (blood) creatinine level is within normal range (Normal levels of creatinine in the blood are approximately 0.6 to 1.2 milligrams (mg) per deciliter (dL) in adult males and 0.5 to 1.1 milligrams per deciliter in adult females).
Albumin, which reflects nutrition status and liver function, is normally in the range of 3.5–5.5 g/dL, so your albumin value is normal; if it goes higher, you could be simply dehydrated. Medications like steroids (androgens, used to inflate the muscles - and we seriously do NOT like those) may affect your albumin level.
The normal adult range for A/G RATIO (Albumin/Globulin Ratio) is 0.8 - 2.0.
