Hello Drs. am 20 years old and i was born with 1 testicle! i have concern if i can be able to have children if i got married?
Feb 20, 2013

Dr. Karim Farah Pulmonology
if you have normal secondary sexual characteristics (beard, body hair, deep voice....) then your testosterone level is normal which is required to have normal sperm cells formation.
but to make sure you can do a semen analysis/ sperm count to check if everything is normal.

Dr. Edward Riachy Pediatric Surgery
A person born with a single testicle can be having what is called a "vanishing testis", where the testicle has twisted in the fetal life and thus has disappeared. The paternity (the state of being a father) is not affected since the remaining testicle is typically normal, and is able to do its job !
