PedaVit DHA:
Contains vitamin D, in addition to DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an omega 3 fatty acid
that is essential for the growth and functional development of the brain in
infants. DHA is also required for maintenance of normal brain function in
adults. The inclusion of plentiful DHA in the diet improves learning ability,
whereas deficiencies of DHA are associated with deficits in learning. DHA is
taken up by the brain in preference to other fatty acids. The visual acuity of
healthy, full-term, formula-fed infants is increased when their formula
includes DHA. DHA deficiencies are associated with a number of diseases,
including cognitive decline during aging and with onset of sporadic Alzheimer
disease. DHA is the active component in fish.
PediaFer:
Contains iron supplementation;
this product is usually used to prevent or treat anemia in some, but not all, babies
above the age of 6 months upon shifting to solid foods with still inadequate
supply of iron from food.
PediaVitD:
Vitamin D supplementation that
should be started since the first day of life.
PediaVit Minimum:
Composed of Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin C and Fluoride. Can be an option as of the age of 6
months (instead of PediaVit D).
PediaVit Select:
-Contains a multivitamin and minerals combination, which
includes: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6,
Vitamin B12, Vitamin E, Folic Acid and Iron. We usually recommend it for babies
who are known picky (fastidious) eaters who run the risk of developing nutritional
deficiencies.
PediaVit Multi:
Contains a combination of
vitamins, including Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin E and
Niacinamide. Mainly used in premature babies or small for age babies for a
better nutritional support.
PediaVit Plus:
Composed of Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin C and a higher dose of Fluoride. Can be an option as of the age of 6
months (instead of PediaVit D) in children who do not received their fluoride
needs through drinking water (in Lebanon, we do not worry much about fluoride
supplements because our water is naturally rich in fluoride in good enough
amounts to satisfy the requirements of our bodies without the need for additional
oral supplementation).
PediaFluor:
Fluoride supplementation – in therapeutically indicated
cases only (not for otherwise healthy children).
