Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
This is specific for everyone's case ,depending on several factors .
There is a conflict between giving or not giving flu vaccine or known as flu shots to fibromyalgia patients
So the doctor balances between the need of the shot and the side effect of it on fibromayalgia patients .
there are two opinions concerning that :
>one is that the risk is too great if flu shot is taken that it'll make your symptoms significantly worse possibly for months.
>Other say that it should be taken because if a patient get the flu he will get especially sick and take a long time to recover.

So the decision taken by doctor varies according to everyone case
>if a fibromyalgia patient has many flu attacks in a year and high complication symptoms of a flu and the patient feels extremely ill of a flu or if he had other medical condition then he might take the shot
>if he hadn't much flu attacks ,or known to have sensitivity to the vaccine before or any autoimmune disease he must not take the shot
