Are there any side effects of using Isosupra Lidose (1 pill per day) and Yasmin contraceptive pills at the same time?
May 21, 2015

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Isosupra Lidose (isotretinoin) and Yasmin (Drospirenone, progesterone-like synthetic hormone + ethinyl estradiol, estrogen-like synthetic hormone) are not known to interact with one another. There are however reports concerning inadequate contraception (so possibility of getting pregnant) if only one method of contraception is used, as a result of concomitant use of these two drugs. You should discuss this with your gynecologist to be on the safe side.
